How multicultural competences make the difference in today’s global business environment
Due to exploding international connections, organizations face an increasing pressure to redesign their way of running the company. This involves the managerial process of fixing goals, defining strategy, setting up of priority agenda, allocation of resources, and design processes to monitoring results. This workshop enables the participants to assimilate and to apply the correct tools to succeed on this mission.
- For HR professionals
Understanding intercultural competences for the Selection & Development areas of RH
Part 1
- How multicultural competences impact the process of selecting and developing people
Which competences are required from professionals to succeed in an international environment – internally and externally? Due to the globalization, HR Managers face an increasing pressure to redesign the process of recruiting and developing people. In particular, they are demanded to understand and to communicate the profile of multicultural competences throughout the organization. This workshop makes training and coaching tasks much easier and more effective.
Part 2
- Dealing with the ‘soft problems’ of the expatriation of families
Considering that the costs of the expatriation of families can be 3-5 times higher than a local contract, companies must deal with both the ‘hard problems’ of expatriation (such as visas, housing, relocation), but also with the ‘soft problems’, which are the adaptation of families and children. The first challenge for the HR professionals is to understand better the short term as well as the long term emotional problems families with children go through during the transition, adaptation and reentry phases. Creating an expatriation policy based both the ‘hard’ and ‘soft’ problems is the first step towards a multicultural strategy.
- Goals
