- Intercultural aspects in education (for Expatriate & Local Staff)
The objective of this workshop is to assist everyone who, directly or indirectly, deals with welcoming expatriate families. It provides an overview of the challenges of relocation, transition periods as well as the psychological impact on children and education. In addition, and as part of their mission, educators must know what it really means to be intercultural competent and to teach the principles of such a complex concept to the pupils.
- Developing Welcome Procedures for Third Culture Kids (TKCs)
International schools deal, on a daily basis, with challenges of intercultural encounters even more than any other organization. The globalized world demands a very clear definition between language skills, international experience and the true intercultural competence. This workshop provides a guideline to the school on developing best practice welcome procedures for expatriate families based on the difficulties with transition periods for children social, emotional and cognitive development.
